Today Noah had his first outpatient doctor’s visit at the Rady’s Children’s Hospital. Most of his levels increased, however his ANC dropped a little. He’s feeling good and happy to be home. He’s had energy for hospital homeschool, play with his siblings, eat family dinners with us and reorganize his room. He needs to take breaks throughout the day, however he has a lot more energy then he’s had in awhile.
Since February, Noah has spent the majority of his time in the hospital. The hospital has become a 2nd home for our family. Our home is empty, when our family isn’t complete. It’s been nice to have our entire family home. A home isn’t a home unless we’re all together.
We feel very lucky that Noah completed the transplant process. It’s been a challenging journey for all of us. It was hard to see our son go through so much pain and discomfort. So many times we wanted to trade places with him and take the pain away. Were hoping for a smooth ride to the end. We’re extremely greatful that Noah has a 2nd chance at life. We’ve learn to enjoy each day because tomorrow may change.
