Noah had a great day today. He completed school, physical therapy, and daily walks. At 5:00pm he became extremely nauseous and had to lay down. We’re hoping Noah continues to have good days until his levels increase.
When Noah was diagnosed a couple of months ago, I researched aplastic anemia Facebook groups. I was extremely lucky to find and connect with two ladies going through a similar situation. One lady, named Pamula had children the same age as mine went through a successful transplant. Her son was 13 and had aplastic anemia. Her daughter was 5 and was her son’s donor. Her son is living a healthy life now.
I met another lady named, Anabel. Anabel’s son has aplastic anemia and is 16 years old. Her 17 year old daughter is her son’s donor. Anabel’s son is having a transplant a week after Noah, at the same hospital. Their rooms are 4 doors down from each other. Anabel’s family and friends had a wonderful surprise for her son and Noah. When they looked out the window in their hospital rooms, you saw their friends & family holding up signs that read “STAY STRONG ANTONIO AND NOAH.” Noah thought it was the best surprise ever.
Thank you Anabel for putting a smile on Noah’s face.
