Day -3 Easter Sunday

Noah had another tough day. He received 3 different types of chemos, fludarabine, ATG and cytoxan. He’s been extremely nauseated. He’s receiving steroids, Benadryl, and Zofran to help him with nausea and an allergic reaction. He’s been sleeping for most of the day.
Lucas took his last G-CSF shot given by Daddy. 🙌 The nurse gets to do the last one on Monday. 👏 Tomorrow Lucas will be at the hospital for surgery at 5:30 a.m. for his aphaeresis line placement. His surgery time will be at 7:30 a.m. He will have his apheresis procedure on Tuesday 4/23 (DAY -1).
Apheresis is a medical procedure that involves removing whole blood from a donor or patient and separating the blood into individual components so that the stem cells  can be removed. The remaining blood components then are re-introduced back into the bloodstream of the donor. The donor will have a couple of blood transfusions during the procedure.
After Lucas’s surgery he’ll be taken to the room next door to Noah’s room. Noah and Lucas are extremely happy about seeing each other during this procedure
