I was looking back at pictures of Noah in the beginning of his journey. At that time I didn’t want to take pictures of him because I didn’t want to remember him unhealthy. Now I’m glad I captured those moments because I see a big change and I feel like I’m getting my healthy son back. We all see the light at the end of the tunnel. It will be a long drive through but in our hearts we know Noah will have a second chance at life.
Noah’s ANC increased to 780, his WBC increased to 1.3 and his Platelets increased to 42. His RBC went down one point but his body is holding the blood. Doctors feel Noah is on his way to recovery and is still doing amazing. They feel this is his first day of his engraftment . Hooray for the cells growing . He hasn’t needed a transfusion in 5 days and is showing signs of his blood levels increasing. Doctors feel he will be release on Monday or Tuesday. We cannot wait to get him home. Doctors said the average bone marrow transplant patient is hospitalize for 6 weeks. If he is release early next week, his transplant process would be 4 weeks. However, Noah was hospitalized two weeks prior to transplant due to a fever and stomach pain. He’s ready to come home and is staying positive he will fully recover.
Noah’s energy is increasing and is feeling well. We haven’t seen him have this much energy in awhile. He’s planning his first home cooked meal and he’s excited to see his brother and sister.
Please keep posting the bracelet pictures. Noah loves seeing everyone support his journey .
