Hooray for Noah’s WBC and ANC for increasing. Today marks the first day of Noah’s engraftment, by his ANC being over 500. Were hoping for more cells to grow in the days to come. Noah ate breakfast, lunch and snacks today. For a transplant patient eating is a big deal.
Noah’s was admitted into the hospital on April 4th for a fever and continued through the transplant. He’s been in the hospital for over a month and is anxiously waiting to get better and be release.
When Noah gets release he’ll have to take approximately 20 pills a day, to prevent infections and other illnesses. The worst thing as a parent is seeing your child in a hospital bed everyday with fear of the unknown. It’s heartbreaking as a parent knowing you can’t do anything to fix or take the pain away. We are so happy that Noah has a chance to recover from this horrible illness but he has a long way to go.
